Client: Hentschke Transport - Loxton SA

Industry: Transport

Project: TransIT! Is a standalone Consignment Note and Invoicing System that interfaces directly into MYOB Premier Accounting suites (as well as other accounting software). TransIT! has hundreds of con notes entered into it daily.

Customer specific pricing and location specific pricing can easily be assigned and configured onto con notes allowing many differing rates and prices for a single item. TransIT! is an easy to negotiate system that makes the invoicing process a stress-free experience.

Client: Danzic Freight Services - Whyalla SA, Port Lincoln SA and Adelaide SA

Industry: Transport

Project: Developed a Consignment Note and Invoicing System that interfaces directly into MYOB Premier Accounting system. This system called "DES" has hundreds of con notes entered into it daily from three depots over the state (Whyalla, Port Lincoln and Adelaide). All depots connect to the head office in Whyalla via the internet.

Customer specific pricing on items listed on con notes can be configured in DES allowing many differing negotiated rates to be stored and seamlessly applied to an invoice once configured.
Invoices are generated out of DES either weekly or monthly and the summarised data is sent to MYOB for accounts monitoring.

Client: Berri Barmera Council - Berri SA

Industry: Government

Project: Developed a system that interfaces with the Council's ERP system to generate barcoded rate notices that are distributed to all rate payers of the council.
The rate notice data is saved to allow historical rate notices to reproduced.
The developed system is also configerable to allow data to be dynamically changed each quarter if required.

Client: SA Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board - SA Wide

Industry: Government

Project: Contact Database - Won a tender which involved creating a contact database for all employees, board members, water groups, organisations and distribution groups.

This system is shared amongst all NRM board offices throughout the state and is accessed via terminal services hosted in Berri. This system was developed in MS Access and is distributed using the runtime version of Access so that version conflicts don’t exist and the end user doesn’t need access installed to run the system.

Client: Acromat Pty Ltd Adelaide SA

Industry: Manufacturing

Project 1: Manufacturing System - Enhancing & maintaining a manufacturing system that manages the production of Gym Equipment and Stadium Seating throughout the country and the world. Our first task was to "clean" the existing system and remove any bugs and annoyances.

Project 2: Payroll System - Developed a payroll system that interfaces into Acromat's Manufacturing System and uses the operations performed by their staff as the time worked for a week. This payroll system performs all the standard operations expected of a payroll system but saves the company time by capturing operator times.

Client: Electrolux Home Products Australia - Adelaide SA, Orange NSW & New Zealand

Industry: Manufacturing

Project 1: GSQA (Global Supplier Quality Assurance System) - Created a windows based management reporting system that provides National and International Purchasing management with information about supplier performance.

This system provides reports and graphs relating to suppliers scores based on early, late, under supplied or over supplied deliveries. GSQA does this by interfacing with Electrolux’s existing in house manufacturing and quality systems.
GSQA has been installed and used throughout all manufacturing divisions in Australia.

Project 2: QARS (Quality Audit and Rework System) - Created a Quality Assurance system that captures the information found as a result of a Quality Audit or Reworks that are performed on finished goods.

It also captures information relating to parts and part assembly quality. This information is then reported on and graphed and is presented to management as a core Key Process Indicator (KPI) for each manufacturing division in Australia and New Zealand.

Client: Hardy Wine Company - Berri SA

Industry: Wine Makers

Project: BELIM (Lab Information Management System) – Created a system that tracks wine samples that are tested in the Berri Estates main lab.

BELIM interfaces with the AS400 system using OLE to extract data about a sample and the tests that are to be performed. The tests are registered in BELIM and the results are recorded by either user entry or direct interface with the testing instrumentation (either by serial connection or file transfer). The method the test will use is allocated and the stages are tracked while the test is performed. The test results are then sent to the AS400 through OLE interface at a polling interval.

Calibration, servicing and maintenance logs are also kept in BELIM. The test station technician is aware of any action due on the instrumentation by warnings that appear.

Client: Laragon Almond Processors - Lindsay Point NSW

Industry: Food Processors

Project 1: LAMADS Phase 1 (Laragon Almond Management and Distribution System) - A system was developed to alleviate the human error element associated capturing bin weights after almonds have been hulled and cracked.

This system was creating using windows host application and communicated to industrial terminals using Winsock and telnet technologies. The host PC is wired to the scales that weighed empty and full bins (using serial communications).
Barcoded bin tags are created using LAMADS which are used both internally for traceability of Tared empty bins and by Laragon’s customers who receive the full bins.

Project 2: LAMADS Phase 2 - This phase involved enhancing the existing LAMADS system to host a second terminal that captures deliveries from the grower (by truck).

It captures where the delivery is stored (silo), the quality of the delivery, the variety and the origin (grower / block) of the delivery. Again, this terminal was installed (approximately 150m away from the host PC) using winsock and telnet technologies. Reports were generated that provide delivery details by grower / variety / process. Reports were also developed for delivery quality.

Project 3: LAMADS Phase 3 – This phase was developed to replace an end of season spreadsheet that summarises the almonds processed for the season by grower. Data is accumulated and sorted to then be exported to a newly created End of Season spreadsheet created by LAMADS. MS Excel is controlled using OLE technology hosted by LAMADS.

Project 4: LAMADS Phase 4 – Phase 4 involved creating an archiving / purging process for end of season. It involves capturing Almond quality data captured from random sample tests, processing downtime and interruptions. This data was included in quality report which is sent to the growers.

2010 Season 7 with Laragon - The biggest change for Laragon this year is the conversion to Microsoft SQL. We have converted their system over to fall in line with all ALMADS versions. This coming season with Laragon will see 7 new bin scales installed under each sizer chute. We will connect to each bin scale to obtain weights and provide a sizer terminal to print bin tags for each scale.

Client: Amaroo Orchards - Paringa SA

Industry: Food Processors

Developed a Time and Attendance system called ClockIT that uses electronic Clocks placed in many locations thoughout the property. The clocks capture employee movements and job numbers (cost centres) using swipe cards. The information in the clocks is downloaded via either a network, phone modem or wireless link to the host Time and Attendance system.

The host system calculates time allocations (eg Normal Pay, Overtime, RDO etc) based on structured rules against Pay Classes (awards) for a pay week. This system enables the payroll officer to make additional time allocations (eg Sick, Annual Leave etc) and export the information to be used by a Payroll System.

Pay Rates are captured in this system along with Job Number (cost centre) information collected at the clocks which is subsequently downloaded to the host system for cost allocation reporting. Many screens and reports are on offer to enable reconciliation with payroll and assist with labour resource management.

Client: Select Harvests Limited - Wemen VIC

Industry: Food Processors

One of the largest huller / processors in Australia Select Harvests Limited have signed with Regional IT to develop a solution that evolves the current ALMADS software to suit their needs. All of the current modules will be used and we will extend ALMADS capabilities to cater for the handler requirements.

We will be delivering the hulling / shelling software by the end of January 2011 and we will have the handler sytem completed and installed by the end of June 2011. We are looking forward to the challenges ahead which include communicating with automated tank doors, extracting belt scale weights from 4 different areas of the process and incorporating the handler requirements into the current ALMADS solution.

This is not only excellent news for Regional IT but the Almond industry as a whole because we will be able to offer not only the Hulling and Shelling solution but a Handler solution. The automation side of things will be of benefit to other hullers / shellers and handlers that are looking to move towards this technology in the future.
